Assisted Living
Rock Island Village offers each resident the personal care they need to continue to age in place with grace and dignity. Our unique resident assessment provides the basis for individual care plans, which are carried out by both the resident and staff to facilitate maximum functioning.
Daily Living Made Easier
An assisted living residence is a senior living option that provides personal care and supportive services to individuals who need assistance with their activities of daily living (ADLs). Activities of daily living include:
- Bathing
- Eating
- Grooming
- Managing their medications, on schedule and the right quantity
- Toileting
- Managing incontinence
We offer one and two room apartments at Rock Island Village, each complete with wall to wall carpeting, blinds, refrigerator, cable, wifi and emergency pull cords in the bathroom and living area. Potential residents will be able to choose an apartment by location and size. And of course, residents are encouraged to bring their favorite furniture and artwork to make their apartment home. Pets are welcome at Rock Island Village.
Visitors are welcome to dine or stay over with their loved ones. A nominal fee is charged for dining.
Additional Services
Respite Care
Families who have seniors living in their homes or who are responsible on a daily/regular basis for providing oversight and support may find from time to time they need a break or want to take a trip. At Rock Island Village, we offer reliable respite care.
Respite care allows a family to have the peace of mind that their loved one is in a safe and nurturing environment. All of the resident’s needs are attended to just as if they were a full time resident of the community. The pricing of the service is based on the needs of a resident and is charged daily.
Hospice Care
Residents of our community who need hospice care in either assisted living or memory care can receive this care through a third party provider. Our team will work with the approved hospice provider chosen by the family and can assist with a list of local providers.
Requirements
Seniors who have trouble completing two or more ADLs (activities of daily living skills) are candidates for assisted living. An assessment will be conducted by our team of professionals, and the potential resident’s physician will be asked to fill out a questionnaire based on the resident’s current status and prior history. Once the needs are assessed and the potential resident is determined to need assisted living, the family and staff can discuss the assessment and the best way to transition into our community at Rock Island Village.
